The local brands have out done themselves in producing one of the best winter collections I have seen in the last few years. However the one brand worth mentioning is Break Out, their winter material is soft wool with very up to date styles. You can easily find the following pieces at local brand shops anywhere in Pakistan.

Look 1- The cozy sweater

Pair up an over sized sweater with skinny’s and boots and you are all set for the day. This outfit is comfortable as well as stylish add accessories to it like a handbag and a wrap around the neck to complete the look!

Look 2- The Blazer

Try the basic jeans with a sweater vest or top and add layer to the outfit with a waist length blazer. If you want to make this outfit semi formal wear heels with it. This look is the latest chic style of elegance in women. You can accessorize it with a long light necklace and a hand clutch.

Look 3- Patterned Sweater or Sweat Shirt

Try patterned sweaters and sweatshirts , the pattern could be from stripes to checks and diamond. Pair them up with a woolen pants or jeans.

Look 4- Add a standout colour

Red Hot red in cold winter is the colour to add to any outfit but the trick is in how not to overdo it. You can wear an all black grey or white outfit and then add bright coloured scrafs, gloves or hats to the outfit. You can also add shoes or bags of such colours.

Look 5- Balance out the volume

Moods and Manicures

18 Dec

It was a Saturday and I was in need of pressing mood uplift, having tried chocolates as mood lifters and risked getting fat I was not willing to go down that lane again. It was then when I hit upon the secret, surprisingly during my manicure I felt better and my mood began to perk up. It’s incredible but it’s true. Nails are an important part of a woman’s personality, they not only redefine and enhance a female hand but the nail color applied by the women also tells about her mood and the individuality. Nails are a great way to reveal your traits and to pamper yourself. Take my word for it and the next time you have a mood swing treat yourself to a manicure or even a new pattern of nail art, it being all the rage these days and you’ll experience the change. Here are a few nail care tips to for you while you are at it.

  • Know that water is harmful for your nails. Nails absorb water faster than your skin and then they expand leaving a dry nail on your hand.
  • Eat well for healthy strong nails. Remember nails are an indicator of your health.
  • Stop nail biting, it doesn’t leave a god impression on the other person and besides that it leaves the nail ugly and uneven.
  • Don’t file your nails in a to and fro motion it creates a heat dangerous for your nails. Keep the movement in circles.
  • Moisturize dry cuticles with oil, never cut them as they protect the nails from infection.

If you think the nail color you wear is only a reflection of your mood. Then think again, it also depicts your persona. What do you do when you see someone wearing red nail paint? You assume consciously or not certain traits about her, similary a when you see a black nail paint you again categorize the person according to your judgment. So the next times you apply nail paint keep these in mind.

Fire-engine Red: You’re sassy, self-assured, and not afraid to be dramatic. Bright red is a bold, look-at-me color that is a symbol for passion, fire, and confidence. You love the spotlight, and you take charge of situations.

Hot Pink: You’re spunky and energetic. Pink is a color that is associated specifically with women, and hot pink lets you show your spunk and spice.

Pale Pink: Painting your nails pale pink is a subtle expression. You are likely quiet, or at least you don’t want to stand out, and youthful. Pale pink is not significantly different from the color of your nails (if you’re caucasian), but you still want to show your soft side.

Black: Painting your nails black is a classic symbol of anti-establishment. It doesn’t mean you are depressed or going goth, but it’s a way of rebelling against the norm and showing some of the darkness in your personality.

Navy Blue: This is a color of sophistication and authority. Wearing this color on your nails tells people to listen up, because you’re in charge.

Aqua (Light) Blue: You’re showing the youthful and calm side of your personality when you paint your nails a light blue. Aqua is a cool color, a nonchalant color.

French manicure: You are glamorous and professional. You don’t need a whole new color; your nails look good as they are, and you simply emphasize and define yourself.

Magenta: A combination of the reds, pinks, and purples, magenta is feminine but not flashy. You are vibrant and youthful, but you don’t need to be the center of attention at all times.

Orange: This color is bright and vibrant, for people who want attention drawn to them. It also symbolizes autumn and the changing seasons: a time of brightness and change.

Dark Brown: A dark and rich color, this shade of brown indicates boldness and authority. You like your nails like you like your men.

Maroon: Maroon is a warm color, a combo of red and purple, retaining the authority of red and the confidence of purple. It’s a mature, sophisticated color that, when worn on your nails, invites respect.

Coffee-colored: You are earthy and energetic. Tan and light brown are earth tones, cool colors that bring you closer to Mother Nature.

Green: This color invokes images of vigor and the environment. Going “green” in your nail polish exudes earthiness and spunk.

Deep purple: Purple is the color of royalty. Wearing it on your nails shows you have a confident personality, and you’re not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

Lavender: You are graceful and collected. A combination of pink and purple, lavender is feminine and confident without the youthfulness of pure pink.ImageImage
